BGV open for applications

Applications for the 2019 Bethnal Green Ventures tech for good programme are open. To date the east London-based accelerator and investor has supported over 110 ventures with a positive impact on over 20m people.

Tech-for-good accelerator and investor Bethnal Green Ventures is on the hunt for its next group of talented people using tech to tackle the world’s pressing social and environmental challenges.

East London-based BGV has to date supported over 110 tech-for-good ventures, with a positive impact on over 20m people. In the past year it has built partnerships with organisations as diverse as Facebook, the Children’s Society and Greater London Authority (whose civic innovation challenge partnership finalists are pictured above).

For the 2019 programme BGV says is looking for ventures across key areas:
– health and care
– sustainability
– education
– civic engagement
– young people
workertech

BGV provides an intensive 12-month programme of mentoring and one-to-one support, free office space and more to rapidly test, launch and scale businesses for a better world. Beyond the programme, it offers lifelong support to teams that have come through.

BGV was named investor of the year at 2018’s DigitalAgenda Impact Awards. Its founding partner Paul Miller is among the speakers at 2019’s awards event in London on 7 March.
